Allied Advocacy

Where lived experience

Meets Compassionate Advocacy

Advocacy rooted in Lived experience

The mission of Allied Advocacy is to empower families through fierce, informed advocacy. The aim is to ensure that every child—regardless of the complexity of their needs—has a firm foundation for a meaningful life. At Allied Advocacy, we believe that lived experience is the highest form of expertise. We are here to turn the "overwhelmed parent" into an "empowered ally," bridging the gap between educational law and the reality of your child’s potential.

1:1 Advocacy

One-on-one advocacy is a personalized partnership. We stand as your firm ally through every step of navigating the confusing world of disabilities. We begin with a deep dive into your loved one’s records to identify their unique needs and where they aren't being met. We will stand with you every step of the way as we seek a strategic path forward.

Parent Advocacy Roadmap

Navigating the unique needs of individuals with disabilities, is a marathon, not a sprint. To ensure you have the right tools at the right time, Allied Advocacy has developed a series of comprehensive manuals tailored to the specific developmental and legal milestones of your child’s life. Each manual features a high-contrast, easy-to-navigate layout and includes "Kaiti’s Notes"—real-world advice from a mother and advocate who has been in your shoes.

Group Classes

Our group classes are designed to turn "clueless and afraid" into "confident and equipped." These sessions bring parents together to master the special education system in a supportive, high-clarity environment. You will learn the specific legal rights tied to your child's age group, how to navigate complex paperwork, and how to speak the "language" of the school district. Every class includes a dedicated Q&A session and a physical self-advocacy guide to take home.

Kaiti Nyberg: Founder of Allied Advocacy

Helping every step of the way

My purpose

I am a Certified Special Education/Disability Advocate, an Autistic individual, and a mother to two sons with profound support needs. I turned a decade of navigating the complexities of the education system into a professional mission: ensuring that no parent feels as alone or overwhelmed as I did when I started this journey at 19. I stand as a firm ally for families with children living with disabilities. I bridge the gap between complex educational laws and the reality of your daily life. Whether it’s through 1:1 advocacy, group classes, or comprehensive resource manuals, I provide the clarity and strategy you need to secure your child’s rights. At Allied Advocacy, we believe that while having an advocate by your side is powerful, learning to advocate for your own child is even more powerful. I’m here to help you find that strength.
